Don’t Turn a Tool Into a Project: How We Solve Everyday Niggles
Like snas.app? Perhaps we should talk about your ideas next.
Most great ideas don’t start in a boardroom. They start with a very normal, slightly annoying question. Like when I was chatting with my son about sailing across Galway Bay, guessed it was about 10 or 12 kilometres based on squinting across the water, and realised my answer was about as scientific as looking out the window and saying, “Ah, it’s just over there.”
Naturally, that led to a bit of curiosity. I didn’t want to buy a heavy, over-engineered marine navigation subscription for one casual trip. So, what did I do? I built a simple, lighthearted tool called Galgle Maps just to answer a basic question: how far is it, what’s the depth, and what’s the weather doing?
It didn’t need to be an enterprise system. It just needed to solve an everyday niggle. You can read about our Galgle Maps journey of discovery here.
Software Doesn’t Have to Be Complicated
That is our philosophy at Snas.app. Too often, small businesses, clubs, and service providers get dragged into massive tech projects just to solve a straightforward problem. You buy a generic piece of software, spend three weeks trying to configure it, and suddenly you’re managing the tool instead of running your business.
We believe technology should be light, helpful, and get out of your way. Whether it’s putting a few public data sources together into a clean map, setting up a smooth newsletter list without the corporate bloat, or automating a repetitive admin task that drives you mad every Tuesday morning—there is almost always a simpler way to do it.
Let’s Make Your Life Simpler
We aren’t here to sell you heavy, complicated systems you don’t need. We’re digital product builders and problem-solvers who enjoy taking everyday business niggles and turning them into neat, practical solutions.
Do you like the sound of that approach? What challenges or bottlenecks do you face in your day-to-day work?
Tell us what you spend too much time doing or want to achieve. We’ll see if we can make it simpler. Let’s not turn a tool into a project. Get in touch with us today and let’s have a chat about how we can help.
